Croquet and Brisket

Acrylic on Canvas, 100 × 150 cm

Croquet and Brisket

Croquet and Brisket captures a long summer lunch in our garden with friends, family and lots of children gathered around one big table. Brisket was sliced and passed around alongside big bowls of salad and potatoes, while little hands reached across the table and conversations moved in every direction.

Between lunch, cake and far too many cups of coffee, we played croquet in the garden, took a little trip to the nearby stream and simply spent the day together. The painting holds onto the lively, slightly chaotic and incredibly warm feeling of a summer day shared with people we love.
