Foodmarket III

Acrylic on Canvas, 50 × 50 cm

Trip to London

Foodmarket III was inspired by the sensory overload of a London food market – the kind of place where cultures meet through spices, oysters, sweets and shouting stall vendors.

I wanted to capture the playful chaos of a shared table filled with the same international flair: vibrant strawberries, oysters on lemon slices, bold patterns, and a crab who may or may not have an opinion on the wine.

This piece is part of a four-part series painted after a trip to London, where I spent hours sketching and absorbing the energy of Borough Market, Camden stalls, and late lunches by the Thames.

In this series, food becomes memory, and memory becomes art.
