Lobster and Fruits

Acrylic on Canvas, 120 × 190 cm

Painted for the group exhibition “Who Ar(T) You?” in New York

Lobster and Fruits was born in a summer of anticipation — created during my pregnancy with our daughter Aurelia, at a time when I was craving colour, fruit, and joy.

Made for the international group exhibition Who Ar(T) You? in New York, the work is a celebration of identity, nourishment, and transformation. A grand lobster anchors the composition, surrounded by a lush chaos of ripe fruit: cherries, lemons, berries, peaches, and golden summer light.

It’s a table and a tribute. A feast and a feeling. The vivid yellows reflect the joy of that moment — my own personal sun.

After New York, the piece travelled to Miami for a second group show, carrying with it the warmth and curiosity of the question it was born from: Who are you, when you’re becoming someone new?
